Through those trees is Ruby Mountain, where Barton's is currently mining garnet, aka the Adirondack Ruby.

I wouldn't be surprised if someday Ruby Mountain is gone. They've taken quite a chunk.

Yer camp’s new garage looks sound.

Ruby Mountain is in the Town of Indian Lake on NYS land in Hamilton County.
It ain’t going away any time soon.

The active Barton Mine is on private land on the backside of Gore Mountain in the Town of Johnsburg in Warren County.
Doubt NYS will let Gore Mountain be turned to dust any time soon either.

Correct the actual peak should remain intact , most of the southern shoulder will be gone.
The actual peak is on state land and is in Indian Lake , the mining operation is to the South West nd is in Johnsburg, Warren County.
