I made that point in many of my TRs at surface-lift ski areas, including this one from Bivio:Chairlifts = break time. Skiing those tows gets you fatigued quick. I like them more but you gotta catch a break more often. Super hard to charge all day, I don’t care who you talk to.

Worth reading.I've been on many Pomas in the Alps, especially Switzerland; however, the most notable one that people here may recognize is the Summit Platter at Lake Louise. It has a nice stiff pitch on the upper section.
That is a good article, but I will never miss those steep, leg killing surface lifts. I would rather use my energy going down the hill. I hear you and am getting to the age where riding surface lifts is becoming less of an attraction; however, at the same time I agree with the points in the article.That is a good article, but I will never miss those steep, leg killing surface lifts.
