What is "WROD" ?

I remember when I first saw this referenced here. I thought it was a radio station.

Now that I have teaching job as a Electrical instructor, I wil have lots of Holiday skiing available.
What I am really looking forward to , are those snow day closings , during the week.
Bring on the POW!!

30% weekend’s for me. I try to get 3 ski days a week on hill. Two or three nights and 1 weekend AM

White Ribbon of Death : usually found at the beginning of season when only one or two trails are open at best. People are forced to ski this because there isn't much else open

WRODs. are basically dust on crust or extremely iced up hard pack again usually found only at the beginning of the season.

I skied a WROD once. Craftsbury (VT) Spring Fling. 30 km on dirty, melting snow and red klister. I'd swear there were more exposed cowpies than there was snow.

Those are tan-light brown. White is freshly made.
But ya can call it whatever ya want.
