Platty Next Week?

Again, we "committed" to a once transferable ticket, so, what's your problem?

First World problems

I'm wrong all the time.
Hey, at least you know that. :p

Not playing dumb. You have a narrower definition of “operating in a COVID environment” than others. Establishing a policy to allow for limited flexibility when requiring unprecedented advance ticket sales is part of that COVID environment, whether you agree or not. Platty isn’t Fortune 500, but I’m sure they consulted their number crunchers and customer service managers (probably both Laz!) when setting the policy, which is pretty clear, and doesn’t carry limitations.

No nerves. No guilt. I bet you’d criticize me for all the times I got a voucher when I couldn’t use a ticket at WF, too....

I didn't make the guidelines operating in COVID, I don't understand where my narrower definition came from, are you making stuff up? Again, just cause you can does not mean you should. You and I think different that's all.

it's been interesting checking the ski websites. sold out on minute, tickets available the next.

Hmmm....I should just let it go.

You keep referring to ‘the guidelines’, and judging how those ‘guidelines’ should impact rebooking options. I didn’t know such specific guidelines existed.

Maybe I’m just not understanding what you are saying. Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve read someone wrong. It seems to me you are saying that when operating within the COVID environment the ‘guidelines’ dictate that the only time a mountain should offer the ability to change a pre-purchased ticket is....what? When someone has COVID? When they have a fever? Cough? What else qualifies for a valid rebooking, as per your guidelines? Obviously weather, roads, work, school....those things all make us less for rebooking, in your eyes.

One could argue that it is you who seems to be making stuff up, aka: rebooking tickets under the COVID operating guidelines, as per TJ’s personal ethos.

I get that, it’s cool. Your personal value judgement on what you think is right. While I don’t like being judged, especially without basis, you are free to believe you are a bigger person than the rest of us, those who have “taken advantage” of what everyone other than you sees as pretty clear terms and conditions associated with pre-purchased tickets.

I’m done on this topic, because it’s getting weirdly chippy, and I respect your values and beliefs, and don’t particularly care all that much....like I said, agree to disagree.

Fact of the matter is that, because of the existence of the flexibility Platty makes part of your pre-purchased tickets, I’ve got multiple days purchased there, and will add more. I’d imagine that is what Platty was hoping for with the policy they chose to institute, but I could very well be wrong.
