ORDA Board Meetings

Mike is the epitome of many a state workers (and now an ORDA Authority CEO-meaning NO STATE OVERSIGHT), through and through; show me the money!!
What's your grievance with Pratt?
BTW you're wrong about state workers. Very few of their decisions have aby effect on their income and that's a problem. In the financial world, if you can estimate someone's cash flow it's easy to predict what they will do. When you deal with state workers, to predict their actions you need to know their own personal values, and those are unknowable.

Yup, relatively new to what’s been up at Gore and ORDA. Sounded like he knew more about snowmaking than the last ORDA CEO appointed, Patrick Barrett of Avis fame.
Tis true, I'll give him that

No grievance, just stating the facts. You sound like an old retired state worker

If you have no grievance, why complain about him? I am an old retired state worker, which is why I know how hard it is to deal with them. You don't seem to know anything about it, but you still project an unfocused hostility, which you mischaracterize as "stating the facts.".

I have no issue with him, again just pointing out the facts of how ORDA operates.
You are the one that constantly complains about any move that Gore does, what's your issue?

I've discussed my issues with ORDA Gore in detail elsewhere. AFAIK you've only expressed a general disdain for the CEO. What is your issue with ORDa operations.

Authorities in NYS are a total scam of taxpayer dollars, and ORD(A) is no different, with a CEO that is grossly overpaid, and redundant as there are already bloated salaries for the individual venue GM's. No oversight, no budget constraints, no one to answer to whether a profit is made or not. As a private business owner, I feel for the private ski areas and other private enterprises (rope courses, zip lines, mt biking, etc) that have to compete with the same entity that they are already paying taxes to...

I think there are over 800 public authorities in NYS.

"Currently, over 94 percent of all (New York) State-funded debt outstanding was issued by public authorities without voter approval."

Grossly overpaid? Look up any private business that does that type of revenue and I think you will have to agree that is not the case.

Private business leaders usually have to answer for their failures.
