NY Uphill or Alpine Touring Routes

I always assumed that nicknames and non-specific pics don't out anything, with maps and entrance descriptions verboten.

Still, I've edited my post.

I am back in this important thread to say that Mohawk in CT. has the most liberal uphill policy I found. Just drive up to the designated run, no ticket, no fee, and just work out.
Yes, I went a few times last season, there's always 6-8 uphillers there. It's about 570 verts up.
For bigger verts, stratton and magic are also free

Did you see that skinny Japanese guy? Sheesh. He was on his seventh climb when I got to the top.

ha. I'm sure he passed me, everyone does. By the lodge this woman was hitting on my friend because he had awesome brand new touring skis. So much for hanging around the dog park.

Did you guys happen to check out the adjoining State Forest trails and Cunningham Tower? I was thinking it would be fun to take a XCD setup up the ski trails and do a loop up there. Maybe make a day of it and have a BBQ or something. I think you can uphill there at night too, is that right?

We love Mohawk. We hit it up last year for some night skiing on the Indy Pass. The lodge was bustling with kids having a good time which was so great to see after all of the crazy Covid restrictions. They have an awesome Bunny Hill. It’s very wide and has a long flat runout so there was nothing for Peanut to crash into. The lifty was super friendly and attentive. He made sure we were safe getting on each time which was greatly appreciated.

Also, heads up you need reservations for Indy and BYOB apres ski, since it’s in a State Forest there’s no beer or wine served in the lodge.
