New Gear for this Season

So you’re saying I should go with the Ebforcers?
I'm no expert but I like them - they are on the heavy side though. The skis I always hear good things about and always look to when I start dreaming of news new ones are:

Enforcers 93/94- solid all around ski for icy days, groomers, and up to 6' of fresh. Very confident skis. When you get them on edge it feels like your on a roller coaster.
Head Kore - I've only been on the 105s but they are known for being light and solid. The topsheet does tend to peel at least on the version I have.
J Skis - playful skis, "indie", solid construction. I haven't skied mine yet but I have 2 friends that love them and pushed me toward them.
Ripsticks - I have a friend who likes them but says they chatter at very high speeds. Doesn't make much sense to me for a ski called ripsticks.
Blizzard Bhrama (88 if you want to go narrow) or Rustler 9 if you want to go wider and more playful. I haven't been on either but I was strongly considering the Rustler 9s.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those. I'm sure others have their go to skis too.

I like my enforcer 110 a lot. My 93 are too turny. I would cheat in my turns and just roll my ankles when things were less than hair ball. Really started bothering my knees. The turning radius is too much for the skinny ski for me.

I have a ski buddy with the same boot size, weight and skill so we swap skis from time to time. I am not a big fan of his Enforcers--they are pretty heavy and not very snappy..

That same friend tried my Allplays and ended up buying the J Escalator this year. We're old and don't want to work so hard. I can't wait to ski those!

You skidding them then. A ski with metal and a smaller radius is much snappier. Fact

I think I'm going to stick with what I got. Maybe a new fleece.

88 is my daily driver and 96 is my favorite ski. I need a 104.

Whiteroom (88 and 96) and Head (88).

Like I said, no new skis for me this year, maybe next year the 104s. Those will likely be Whiterooms.

I'm set for skis.

Will be experimenting with a Kulkea heated boot bag for ski trips when I drive instead of fly. Decided it would be useful in the midwest . . . in January.

Also got an avalanche beacon for in-bounds use. Now that I'm skiing over 75% of the time off the groomers, all of the instructors I work with somewhat regularly out west have recommended using one. My instructors at Alta and Bridger Bowl always wear one.

Gotta get some new ski socks.
Finally figured out last year the boot fix was sheer kneehighs. $7 for 3 pair at Tops. Money well spent.
Might get some suspenders.
New skis would be fun.
