Greek Peak Conditions

Can't complain considering the weather this year.

Thanks Cornhead was gonna go this morning but figured it would be ice. Was waiting till you chimed in, I’ll be there in morning

Beautiful morning! I skied a bunch of runs from Karyatis to Kristy's. The kids were having a blast jumping off of the whales on Karyatis. I went over to Stoic to check it out. Not my best move. I had watched a video about skiing crud which said to have a firm core. I hit a patch of something that had me skidding sideways. My core engaged and I laughed telling myself to make sure I had a firm core.

I have a progression that I like to take, starting with the bunny slope in the beginning of the year and ending up on Iliad and, hopefully, Odyssey. I prefer staying upright and relaxed rather than stressing out. Because of the conditions this year, I have spent much more time on green runs than normal, but have been working on carving. There have been a few times that I have started to arc back up the hill. It's been fun.

No pics, meh, flat light, firm groomers, thought Trojan was pretty good, Zeus was open, didn't ski it. I really wanted to poach it yesterday, looked pretty sweet from the lift yesterday, lots of fresh manmade at the bottom, and the new blown snow wasn't too grabby, skied pretty good.

Definitely flat light and meh

I was able to park in the first lot at 9:30 am, and didn't take the closest spots so I could drive through.

Cornhead, was that a bunch of ice on skiers right on Trojan? That's what it looked like from the quad.

Could've been, I skied to the left on my runs. Hit Castor a couple times, nice groom along side of the park features. I like bombing far skier's left normally, but it's pretty much toast over there.

A couple questions based on current trail report on GP
1. How is lift 5 running with no trails down to its base running?
2. Where is Alcemene - can't see it on map
