Greek Peak Conditions

My neighbor, who just turned 90, and skis every day Mon - Fri, received a lifetime pass from Greek Peak this year. He's had a pass every year since 1961. True legend. Pretty cool of Greek Peak to recognize him.

I assume you are referring to Gene? That's great that they finally gave him a lifetime pass. He's the nicest guy.

Only thing I can think of is staffing issues.

Greek Peak needs to pay a livable wage. We have been all over the place skiing this winter and the Ikon and Epic resorts are having no visible staffing issues. Even some of the tiny ski areas we've been to have 4-5 people working the lifts/lift lines. The $20 an hour to start seems to be helping. We also learned that each ski area is being run as an autonomous business, so the deep pockets of Alterra and Vail are not subsidizing day-to-day operations.

Not just at Greek. It’s economy wide. Wages have a lot of catching up to do from the last 40 years of wage stagnation. It’s not going to improve overnight and there is inflation risk. Not too many people want a seasonal job without benefits any more.
