Gore Mountain Conditions

Website says Straightbrook is fixed.

But at this time yesterday it said Open Pit and Headwaters would be open today…anyone know if they ever dropped those ropes?

I came down to lower mountain at 11 to help some friends with three first time skiers under 13. First time on a magic carpet in a few years! Nice to be reminded by lots of smiles that Gore has a pretty great beginner program and some great instructors.
You are looking at the marketing report. No one may have thought to inform the Marketing Department that Straightbrook pooped the bed today.

We are coming, watch out. 🤪

Anyone been on any of the open glades? Trying to decide if it is worth driving up this weekend instead doing the Catskills.

My kids went (Note to self: when you say take a lap on the green chair, apparently you have to say, don't go in the glades). It was apparently thin cover. Instructors said no bueno and a patroller said he won't even go in to check it (other patrollers are right now). YMMV. Good luck. I think the only 'interesting' glade open is barkeater. Never skied that one.

After skiing at Gore we went up to check out the Bowl... and the new Lodge. It looks fine, is close to the lifts, and I assume has a great view of the mountain and lifts. My first impressions? Is the parking convenient? Maybe too 'fancy' for the trails it serves? Selfishly, I wish something similar was in the works for the Bear Cub Quad and Sunway Chair area of Gore. I am a fan of the Bear Den Lodge at Whiteface and know a similar Lodge replacing the ski rental building at Gore would be a huge upgrade.
