Pic or it didn't happen

I feel your pain. Here at 1500’ on the Rensselaer Plateau we stayed at or above freezing, but the ground was frozen solid so the rain froze there. 4 am Monday I drove my daughter to the airport, the first 0.3 mile skidding sideways down a 13% grade on solid ice. 15 minutes to go the one mile to the state road. Town truck still hadn’t been around to drop salt/gravel when I got back at 530, but going up was easier than down.View attachment 31090
Most of the ice is still in the trees
It seems like I need a warm up before a big wind
Sounds like every day last year. Are you sure you didn’t fall through a tear in the space-time continuum?Straightbrook chair is down, and headwaters and open pit aren’t open yet.
Bad main bearing because of running last season with a cable that was too short?Ok so, the straightbrook chair is down and out with a bad main bearing in the drive. Could be a week or more. Guess it was a great idea to replace the Topridge chair instead of the Straightbrook chair as was supposed to be.
High Peaks chair was open, but with no access from the summit, wood in only.
So if you want to ski Chatiemac, you have to take wood in to the High Peaks chair, skate over to Chatiemac, ski down to Topridge chair via Tannery, up Topridge and back to the Saddle and rinse and repeat...Absolute stupidness!
I would so love to a fly on the wall at the 2pm meeting today!!![]()
