Beautiful but cold. The kids did their vows this morning on the mountain where they got engaged. I think I saw Bean dip today but he wasn't in this picture(he was in their engagement picture sunning himself in the background). Skiing was fast and firm. Sagamore first thing was deer valley nice. Burnt Ridge Chair went down and we headed back to the bowl and out. A few glades here and there but they are skied in.

Beanie took a digger at the bottom of 46'r headwall this morning on his first run of the season, as he was recovering from a surgical procedure, and the initial thought was he may have broken his arm or wrist...
I saw the Bride this am at the Bowl

OK, after we have all expressed our thanks and happiness for Mother Nature coming through and ORDA moving snowmakers from other mountains to give us the last few glorious weeks, it’s time for a splash of cold water.
Who decided to make Open Pit a natural snow only trail this season? It is now a difficult black diamond at best and closed most of the time at worst. Pit is an important trail in the summit layout, it’s the pivot point between the Dark Side and Straightbrook pods. It takes a lot of traffic off of the narrow Cloud loop through the High Peaks and is a shortcut to Cloud traverse and Headwaters. Not a good choice for a trail to make very difficult or closed most of the time.
