Yeah I was contemplating a day skiing off the sunway lift - it was sooooo much better.

- freezing rain/ sleet
- holiday weekend
- 40-50 mph winds
it had the makings of dust on crust. would of bet against it being any good. glad we dodged a bullet.

The whole week was practically a Christmas miracle.

Let me start by replying to Tirolski...listen to Hans and impossiblegoatee(in the Lift Blog comments)...The Bowl is a Boondoggle and all of the best skiing is up high. As for this Presidents' week and the two weeks leading up to it...My daughter is getting married on Thursday and wanted winter. I surmise all of our loved ones up there (Angels), have Mother Nature tied up and threatening her with, The temperature must remain below freezing until after the wedding, or else...The last three weeks have been the best skiing at Gore in the last 3 years. She tried with the wind and a little bit of liquid at 20 degrees but skiing keeps getting better...

The last three weeks have been the best skiing at Gore in the last 3 years.

The reason we ain’t been up to Gore yet is cause it’s been good in CNY since before Christmastime. One for the books. Glad y’all are getting the goods.
