Gore Mountain Conditions

Regarding conditions, I tried to put the impact of the new snow aside, and evaluate the snowmaking.

What's been accomplished in the last several days is astonishing.

If there was going to be an interview the snowmaking section would only require two questions:

What precisely happened over the last ten days?
How can we systematize it to make it easier to mobilize?

If the rumors about Belle expertise coming to the rescue are accurate, they did the same thing last year for Whiteface. Should ORDA consider a swat team that can be ready to go wherever needed in SKI3 land?

The idea would be to respond right away, early in the season, and the season's supply of cold air.
"What's been accomplished in the last several days is astonishing."

This...they were able to turn it around SO FAST! Which makes me wonder if the poor start could have been avoided but I am going to stay positive and grateful for the magical changes. Now we know what the Gore system is capable of and what our expectations should be. We were not imagining the problems and I am thrilled that there is a solution that will preclude issues like this from happening again. Thank you to whoever implemented these changes and the hard work on the ground from the snowmakers. The skiing last weekend was spectacular. Instead of planning to ski other mountains, we are taking days off to ski extra days at Gore next week.

The upper mountain had 3-4" of new snow today, and the rain/snow level was approximately the top of the Sunway chair on the lower mountain, and the last drop on Tannery on the upper mountain (very firm hardpack groom from those points down). The upper mountain glades skied really well! Tahawus glade had an inch or so of new on top of crunchy but edgeable crust underneath.
The gondola did not start loading until after 9am, and interestingly the loaded the chairs on and off of AE2 multiple times almost like they were training for the lifty olympics! 🤷‍♂️ ;) :ROFLMAO:

The bottom line in the cause of the issues this year are lack of help and lack of experience with the help that they have.

what we should have had in December, and what we should expect every year.
Dude, you have to admit, in any month, that output would be impressive. Obviously earlier is better. Read what I wrote.

Maybe I'm less grumpy because I only have 4 days at Gore this year.
