Make it 3.Regarding conditions, I tried to put the impact of the new snow aside, and evaluate the snowmaking.
What's been accomplished in the last several days is astonishing.
If there was going to be an interview the snowmaking section would only require two questions:
It was a good run.It was tucked away in the report, but showing delayed opening on some lifts due to icing
No. It just shows what the Gore system was designed to do, and proves that the problem was mismanagement, including the failure to hire enough workers. Northeast resorts need to be able to start from zero two or three times a year. That's just the reality of the new normal weather. What's been accomplished in the last several days is astonishing.

Having the ace snowmakers travel to each of the three resorts annually to ensure the system is ready and that crews are up to speed should be routine. I just hope they are taking care of those who are traveling - with the appropriate pay rate and expenses covered. Make it worth their while so it becomes something they look forward to each season. Should ORDA consider a swat team that can be ready to go wherever needed in SKI3 land?
Maybe/hopefully those who can make it happen realize the importance of this. I think we can all agree that snowmaking is job #1, just like Milo said.If the rumors about Belle expertise coming to the rescue are accurate, they did the same thing last year for Whiteface. Should ORDA consider a swat team that can be ready to go wherever needed in SKI3 land?
