Fall Weather 2021

Conclusion

"This is, I’ll admit, an unscientific survey, but no one (to my knowledge) has attempted to even research the subject in much detail. This is probably because, with the change in measurement techniques over time, it is not possible to conclusively say that any one part of the country has become snowier or less so over the past 120 years."

thanks for posting ..interesting data and lot of it

also over the last decade or so. most people have lost the ability to use that very sophisticated piece of measuring equipment , yep a freak'n ruler...
and of course the media/nws likes to post grandios storm measurements...can't tell how many times nws posts measurements from my down that are 50% greater then what i measured ..

According to this the snowiest decade was 2001-2010? Jason??
It seems we always hit or come close to our average yearly snowfall.
Lol, this seems like a Very reliable source of information:

FWIW climate change appears to be increasing precipitation on the East Coast generally: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/08/24/climate/warmer-wetter-world.html

So yeah I would expect more snow when temps allow it, along with more rain when temps don't allow it.

It's funny when Utah is getting skunked. They are such wimps about it, like somehow snow is a god given right.

Here is the east, widespread great conditions are more the exception, and we deal with it, mostly.

Got drought? Blow up the sky. Need snow? Wait ‘till it’s cold and blow it up some more.
