It's audibly different too, if scratchy conditions. No scratchy boarding sounds. No offense to any boarders here, but it is noticably quieter. The absence of snowboards was also a different sight.
nice view too!I've never skied MRG but have been there twice for some food and beer after skiing Sugarbush (love Sugarbush). That single chair at MRG is something to see. The absence of snowboards was also a different sight. Anyway General Starks Pub at MRG is like stepping back in time 50 years. Food and wings are pretty decent as well.
No scratchy boarder sounds, but lots of scratchy skier sounds. Unless the snow is fresh, MRG can get brutally scraped down. It is a quiet place because of limited uphill capacity and lots of trees to spread skiers out. There are still plenty of folks with poor technique destroying the snow conditions. It's audibly different too, if scratchy conditions. No scratchy boarding sounds. Snowboarding hate is so 87.
When I first moved to Jackson almost all of my riding buddies were snowboarders. I was testing the limits of the new fatter skis and loved trying to emulate my friends lines and styles. At that time and with my own prefered style it just made sense to ride with boarders.
