A blog post from Laz from June 25, 2013, commenting on the Belleayre expansion. Here we are, almost 8 years later and, as I predicted, the expansion of Belleayre and the connection to Highmount still does not exist. Adding the gondola seems to have been a 1 shot deal from the Emperor Cuomo the Second.

I believe that’s how I found the NYSkiBlog. I was researching the Belleayre expansion to better understand it during that time period and found that post. Definitely opened my eyes to the realities of the situation. Also found the Bearpen and Skiing the Catskill 3500 stories around that same time. It's been so long since I've been to Windham, do they still have a full service restaurant on the top floor of the main lodge? That was a big deal to my father and AFAIK it's the only one in the Cats, if it's a big deal to anyone else.
