No go on the Maverick tow.Would your Maverick tow it? Just thinking it might save you some coin if you could get it yourself.
Was thinking the bucket. What else should I get?For just the bucket or are you getting other attachments?
I was just gonna move the soil and spread it with a rake. Mistake? How about a small loader with a york rake?
I would think that would be a better application than a skid steer for spreading topsoil.
I was thinking of trying to get it done in 3 or 4 days. Reasonable? I've got 3 loads of topsoil and four loads of sand. Not sure wtf the sand is for, but I'll put it under the soil.
Looks like rain all next week, I'm assuming topsoil is harder to work with if it's wet so I may wait until the following week.
Not sure what quantities these loads are. I would mix the sand in with the topsoil as a top dressing. Ideally topsoil is either covered by a tarp in a pile or spread and covered with seed and chopped straw or mulch. You might not get germination now but dormant seeding is better than nothing. The power rake (also called a Harley rake) works awesome on those machines. You can grade everything nice and wipe out your tracks when you’re done. Was thinking the bucket. What else should I get?
I definitely want to get seed down to take advantage of the spring. I'm glad you think it's a good, or not a bad, idea. Not sure what quantities these loads are. It depends on how much material you’re getting, how big of an area you’re covering and what your timeframe is.Honestly I was thinking of the Dingo just to move the material, am I crazy to plan to spread it with a regular rake?
