Bristol Conditions

Spring is here! It took but half an hour at most for the Galaxy chair runs to get kicked up into pretty good chop as did Rocket on the sides. The moguls are non-existent as the grass and rocks are coming through under the Galaxy chair. Comet held up very well and was really fun. The backside Morning Star chair runs were really firm and begged for edge to edge carving. Nice buzz today as it seemed every little kid lessons group was on the mountain. Weather report for the week is not favorable- 60's and possible 70's! Night skiing is over.
Spot on to how my Sunday was as well. It was crazy how dark it got out, followed up by the afternoon sun!
Looking forward to their spring carnival on the 22nd.

It was 50° when I hit the slopes today. They let us on about 12 minutes before nine. Absolute spring, corn snow conditions. All the major runs are fine and have loosened up considerably in the first hour. Lower Northstar

was not groomed and had some serious 6 inch ruts in it, but as long as you kept turning and kept on your edges, you were fine. Unfortunately, the dirt is starting to come through the snow, but, it’s a fun day and I already have nine runs in and just under an hour up and down, up and down😎⛷️

It’s full-blown spring skiing on Friday, the early arrivals were treated with gleaming corduroy as it froze last night. No galaxy chair today, some people were complaining, but all the runs are open and if you don’t mind a very small hike, you can do universe and Northstar. Northstar might not have long to live as there’s dirt cutting through on skiers left. Everything else is fine. Just a wonderful day here on the mountain.

Nice pictures. Tomorrow early is gonna be nice.

Wow 2025/2026 pricing for Bristol just came out. I'm pretty disappointed to see what I call some pretty big price gouging on the pre-purchased card packs! Seems they only want seasons passes and non transferable pre-purchased passes. They eliminated the transferable 6 pack and the transferable 12 pack went up almost 15%! While seasons pass price increase is a much more modest 3.9% it's still $930!

So when they charge those prices it's infuriating and completely unacceptable that they won't run the Galaxy lift. At those prices I shouldn't have to hike past a high speed quad in order to ski some of the best and most interesting intermediate runs.

For this past year I split the 12 pack with a friend and I've only used 4. I hate to say it but this might be my last year at Bristol. I'm not sure I want to reward them with my business after 15% price increase and no way am I ever paying $100 for a day pass to ski Bristol--- especially if they aren't running the Galaxy Quad!

Good Saturday at Bristol. Despite a lot of wind in the parking lot it was surprisingly good on the mountain. We were on the lift before 9 and headed straight over to Galaxy and Northstar. Prime spring conditions and the snow was very fast. Rocket was probably the best run once Northstar and Galaxy got tracked out and was still great when we knocked off at 1130. No crowding or lines even at the Comet Express.

Apres beer on the patio and then a quick stop at Other Half brewery.

Next Saturday is spring carnival and the forecast is favorable. Might go there and use my last pass and watch people skim the pond.
