Bristol Conditions

Do you think water is going to be an issue? That big pond out front was looking fairly low last Saturday.
Pond was pretty full today and there was quite a bit of water running into it from the big visible feed pipe on the south shore. There's still a decent amount of snow, but if they can resurface it will help things. They've got the State championships coming up at the end of next week, so if they can I'm sure they'll do something on Comet/Orbit for that. Probably going to be sugar snow on the weekend after the cooldown-nothing more they can do with the very shitty hand they've been dealt.

Sunny Saturday! Went down so I could see my three granddaughters in their lesson groups before we head out west. They had and were still blowing snow on the Loop, Upper and Lower Rocket, Upper Galaxy, Shooting Star and maybe one or two more. Yes, it was a busy Saturday with Comet/Outer Orbit closed for a Cleveland Metro race, but conditions were quite good, especially considering the reports I heard about yesterday. All chairs were running and the Galaxy chair was had almost no lines at all. Saw all the kids ski (they're all doing very well and having fun which is the most important thing), and quit about 1:15. I'll turn the reporting over to @Andy_ROC as we're gone as of Monday.

Only time for a quick update. Saturday 2/25;

Surprisingly good conditions on most all trails. Snow was being made on many trails until about noonish. Lots of big snowmaking piles on Rocket which should be exquisite once groomed out hopefully for the Sunday crowd.

Skied from about 9am til 145pm. Crowds moderate, nothing crazy. Even got a few peeks of sun which was a nice surprise.

All in all it was the most winter like day I've seen at Bristol all season.

Finished the day with a few apres beers at Other Half.

Great day!

Skied Bristol on Sunday 3/19. Conditions were pretty good first thing in the morning with lighter than normal crowds. Having had a fresh couple inches overnight it was really nice for the first hour. We even had some sun.

Ice became much more prevalent on blues and blacks by noon when we finished.

Universe from top to bottom was moguls and ice just garbage. Consequently NOBODY was using it which is a shame. So effectively one high speed quad serving 1 run. Doesn't make much sense.

On a separate note they've published their 23/24 pricing. The 12 pass pack I've been buying is going up 9% to $725. This will mean $60/pass. Ouch!!! Projecting this increase onto the day pass rate it might cost $100 to ski Bristol on a weekend or holiday. Yeah I get it they are close to Rochester so it's convenient for many, but no way it's worth coming from distance like the Buffalo or Syracuse area at that price for a 140 acres.

We're still out west (Winter Park this week), but we got the email. Our 70+ pass is going up $40 to $735 each. It would be nice if they would hook up with one of the Mega passes so we could get that as an add on-crazy that a base IKON is $779 and includes unlimited at several places. Of course, price Holiday Valley-a day/night pass is $1049 with a 10% discount for 70+. The walk up rates out here are outrageous- $225 for 70+ at Steamboat. We really have no alternative-yup, Swain is cheaper but.........and to join Hunt Hollow makes no economic or skiing sense to me. I do plan on taking advantage of the cheap prices for 70+ at the ORDA areas next year-time to get something back on our tax dollars.

Great spring day with abundant sunshine. Snow was incredibly good spring conditions especially considering the rain the previous two days. Crowds were light.

Today was the last day of scheduled operations. Next weekend is TBD.

Hoping they open next weekend (probably will), but too bad they're closed this week-getting home from our IKON trip later today. Looking forward to a patio party to end the season.

Based on the web cam views it's not looking good for this weekend. Now if they had to open to get to day 100 I'm sure they'd push things around to open the WROD

Yup. Saw your post and checked-pretty ugly...................the rain and temps yesterday must have killed what was left. Guess we'll see, but not looking good.
