Avalanche

[Big Deal]

Yesterday I was caught in my first real avalanche. I haven’t figured out how to post a video on here yet. There is a picture at mtavalanche.com on the forecast page. I made about 5 turns when I saw a crack next to me. My feet got taken out right away. I stayed on top and didn’t get buried. At first, I thought that I could pop up and ski it out but it was moving too fast. I used my skis to direct myself to the edge and avoid the cliff band belo. I still caught a lot of air off some rocks and hit so hard in the rocks that I stopped. I tore my rotator cuff some and bruised the Hell out of myself but I’m lucky.
