Any Day, Any Race

..... Aaaaand, Jessie Diggins winning the final race of the nordic World Cup, a 20 km mass start freestyle in Falun. She's your 2024 distance and overall World Cup champeen. Falun features the infamous Morderbakken, the only hill Bjorn Dæhlie said he was afraid of. Look how Jessie ramps the tempo up, going uphill, at around 40 seconds in.

Icing on the cake: Rosie Brennan and Novie McCabe taking 10th and 11th..... five 'Murrican women in the top 30. Something that never woulda happened 20 years ago.

Since it’s a Sunday Saint Patrick’s Day I guess this goes here.
“...March 11-12 skiing competition for priests from the Alpine regions of Italy, France and Switzerland, which took place this year in the Italian resort city of Courmayeur, nestled at the foot of the towering Monte Bianco. By all accounts, the roughly 35 clerics who took part thoroughly enjoyed themselves, as did townspeople and visitors enchanted by the spectacle.”...

Did they bless their skis before they started?

Don't get me started about knees. Mine are 30 years older than the rest of me LOL. In other news, yesterday was Saint Gertrude's day; she's the patron saint of cats 🐈

Going down the rabbit hole made me look up the patron saint of Dogs, Saint Roch.

Says he's also the patron saint of surgeons and knee problems, so he's got that going for him.

World Cup sliders going for greatness at Van Ho today.
