I'm with ya Harv
I'll be moving material this weekend

Edit to add. This is a 10 wheeler load. I'll time it to give you a better idea. Previously I was going from memory. This will be more accurate.

My pile is — I think — bigger, it's a few feet over my head. But it's smaller rock.

We used Tahawas tailing on the flat part, 3/4 inch stone for the pitch.

I think your piles are bigger as well. This is road grindings that I'll spread out in the driveway. It should compact pretty good after driving on it.

225 / day to rent it. If I work 8 hours a day it's like 30-50 an hour, waaay cheaper than whay my GC was charging me for running a maching. Even if I suck.
Curious to know the final math on this.

Awhile ago we had some friends dump some loads of topsoil and some crusher run loads.
They didn’t dump either in piles but spread it out while emptying their dump truck. Dang pros.
It made the spreading work a lot easier.

The crusher run just needed driven on (no roller). It’s solid now & better than asphalt. Sometimes in the spring I gotta throw back whatever the snow plow pushes out but that ain’t hard work.
