I can't imagine doing this by hand now. 35 years ago, sure. I'd need an ambulance today if I did that. LoLI was the wheelbarrow, shovel, and rake guy. So much fun.

When I would complain my Dad would say "What are you complaining about? My parents could'nt even afford a wheelbarrow for me. You got it easy with a wheelbarrow!"I can't imagine doing this by hand now. 35 years ago, sure. I'd need an ambulance today if I did that. LoL

I'll be moving material this weekend
Edit to add. This is a 10 wheeler load. I'll time it to give you a better idea. Previously I was going from memory. This will be more accurate.

I think your piles are bigger as well. This is road grindings that I'll spread out in the driveway. It should compact pretty good after driving on it.My pile is — I think — bigger, it's a few feet over my head. But it's smaller rock.
We used Tahawas tailing on the flat part, 3/4 inch stone for the pitch.
That stuff is tough to spread.I think your piles are bigger as well. This is road grindings that I'll spread out in the driveway. It should compact pretty good after driving on it.
I've heard that. I think, in the long run, it will be worth it. It will take some time with my little FEL but I'll get it done. That's why god made beer. That stuff is tough to spread.
Get someone to roll it if you can. In next summer's heat it should compact almost like paved macadam.I think your piles are bigger as well. This is road grindings that I'll spread out in the driveway. It should compact pretty good after driving on it.

Curious to know the final math on this.225 / day to rent it. If I work 8 hours a day it's like 30-50 an hour, waaay cheaper than whay my GC was charging me for running a maching. Even if I suck.
