Gore Mountain Conditions

PS my only stone bruises on Cork's old skis happened at WF on Friday...but I still had fun. The AC 50s are back for the woods tomorrow. Read my signature!

I am going to bed but my comparison was Friday I was on snow 50 minutes and got 17.5k at WF. Sunday I was on snow 57 minutes and 16.3k at Gore. No bumps or trees at either place. WF had guns on the trails we were skiing and Mountain Run was awesome yet a lot of folks bitched because they couldn't see...some of the only times I can't see at WF and loved the soft velvetly snow. Gore was fast and firm but edgeable. To me it is the same until we get bumps and trees. Belle may be the place to go, they have bumps! Good night

Welcome to NYS. Gore is not a private area and they happen to be in an economically depressed area. Whatever Visas they are able to get are loading lifts and, ahem, working parking lol(and you see how well that's going) We're not like Lake Placid that get the cool visa workers. It is what it is, I have been a Gore passholder for almost 40 years...I will keep coming back. Once the complainers start having an affect, then my trails will be less crowded...ha ha ha ha ha
Suds, you need to realize you are in an abusive, codependent relationship with Gore. You two need to go for some therapy.
;)

Therapy day today! Gore Mountain ski it if you can...I love MRG please don't charge me copyrite fees. They dropped the ropes on Straightbrook Glades, Upper Newts, KHS(the best one), Birch Bark Alley(Trees down in Thumper and not enough snow), Hot Dam was pretty good and Duck said BBA had the least tracks and was widened, and Open Pit, serious fun(really good snow in between really big rocks. They opened Burnt Ridge on Echo and Backwoods(First groom). Fast and firm. Darby Woods and Open Pit were my picks of the day. I will be back with the same skis(sort of) tomorrow and will pick up the ptex on my way home.

All of those glades were good yesterday too along with Tahawus Glades!

Good is a relative term. I am plugging my core shots in my favorite former skis for tomorrow. I wish I knew Tahawus was open or thought about it. The BR was closed early and I went off up top. Although I missed Chati glade. Open pit was a super fun experience. Those large rocks poking their heads out were like racing gates. I can’t wait for tomorrow.
