ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

Ev work great. It's a different way to drive. You have to plan the drive if you are going long distances to make it the most efficient. If your driving a Tesla you don't even have to drive.

Dang.
The Yankees could use ya in their moneyball analytics department.
You have no idea. I have advanced degrees but am humanities based. Got up to calc 2 in high school and AP Chemistry.

I am a planner. The day I broke my shoulder skiing at Belle with Jason (thanks again for the advil, J) I was setting out on a ski safari from LI to Belle to Gore to WF and back again, to sleep in the RIvian. Had a nice spreadsheet for that one.

Instead, I drove home with a broken shoulder (didn't know it was broken), got that crazy marker bruise from your bone marrow bleading out into your bicept, and went to the doc. Got lucky, no surgery, and two half marathons since. Aiming for sub 2 hours in July with hopefully halfs in January and March, and then potentally a second shot at a marathon in October.

When I turn 50 (still half dozen or so years away), I want to do a Long Island 50k where you run the width of the island.

Ok, sorry for all that page vomit.

You should see my running spreadsheets.

If you take the taconic, which I did on the way down, you might end up in the trees if you did 78. I know your reference was to interstate.

I took a defensive driving course a few weeks ago after my wife got a bolt to lower my insurance (no tickets etc, just bolt had higher insurance than 12 year old subie). Unfortunately it worked, and I now drive a bit like a relaxed grandma. A bit of a waste with a Rivian, we'll see how well it sticks.
If you go over 70 on the Taconic, be prepared to get a speeding ticket. That road is the most heavily patrolled road I’ve ever seen.

I set to 66 and forget it on taconic, except the loop of doom where I just go 50-55 and everyone goes crazy around me and then almost hit the median guard rail.
