If you have a 350 mile range EV, going 70 mph is 5 hours of driving.I bring food with me. Pee when you get gas.
Last time I drove straight through was 2 years ago. If by myself I leave Queensbury around 6pm and drive to the Va/NC border around 10 hours. Take a Power Nap in the truck for a couple hours and drive 12 hours to Sarasota. If wife is with me as she will be tomorrow (we are heading home), we stop in Fredericksburg Va for the night. If you have a 350 mile range EV, going 70 mph is 5 hours of driving.
I don't believe you drive for 22 hours straight. And if you really do, a forced break for 20 - 30 minutes every 5 hours might not be a bad thing
I did LI to Huntsville 948 miles each way. I will try to find my spreadsheet but I think we drove 10 hours a day. Two stops a day to charge. We would time for lunch and dinner. Like 45-55 minutes. A Tesla would be faster probably due to smaller battery.Satisfy my curiosity here. My trip from NY to Fla is 1420 miles it takes me 22 hours driving straight through. That includes fuel stops. How long would it take me in your EVs including charging time?
For me personally I would not to travel this way. But if you love to travel this way 10 hours without stop, no I don’t think current e v s are for u.Last time I drove straight through was 2 years ago.
