Protect The Adirondacks

We need a set of lawmakers/politicians brave enough to drag the language of the NYS Constitution into modern day. Groups like Protect have ridden the current language to ridiculous heights.
Can folks vote to keep the dang zippy coasters outta The Ho?

"Why Tompkins County and other NY residents are asked to vote on Adirondack proposal"

The main complaints seem pretty ticky tack:

Oh no! Dead trees? Trail 8 ft too wide in spots?!?!

No doubt!
How they stopped the moving of a snowmobile trail was by somehow, God only knows how, they convinced 3 out of 5 judges that the definition of "timber" was to include brush that was 3" and under in diameter. To me, that's completely ridiculous. That's why I say the language of the NYS Constitution needs to be dragged into modern day.
The ADK needs economic growth.

The Ho should have gotten an Article XIV exemption at the same time as Whiteface. Still curious about why the can was kicked down the road, and who kicked it.

Why Protect is looking for a yes vote is because NYS is going to trade the 350 acres from Ho for 2500 acres to the forever wild forest. But Protect won't say where that 2500 acres is located. They claim it hasn't been disclosed yet, nor has the state said what the land will be used for.

What part of the Ho is to be traded in this proposal? I haven't seen anything about this.

The article in today's Adirondack Daily Enterprise is breathtakingly obtuse. If they're suggesting giving 350 acres of town land to the DEC, why not say it out front.

I don't get it. If the "no" side wins, nothing happens?
Good question.

Maybe more than the recent wrist slap with the recent WF mt bike work plan fiasco.

I believe that's what is going on. No exact information is being given, or at least that I've seen.
It's all very strange.
