Toggenburg Mountain Sold

McKenzie Wilderness's starting price is also for an empty room. Mind boggling. Newlyweds would be better off putting that money towards a down payment on a house.

A venue can also be used for family reunions, meaning extended families where the party is 25+ people of all ages. That sort of event has been going on at southeast ski areas for decades, especially the ones that have slopeside lodging.
We did this a few years back at Wisp and had a blast. Was a great location as most of us are spread out between the upstates, New England and the Carolinas.

Or even buy an old barn, fix it up enough for their own charming, rustic wedding then rent it out. Would pay for itself and be profitable in no time. 😁

When I was looking for a house up here, I checked out a place in Gabriels. Fabulous views. Enough acreage that one could safely crank 3 Marshall stacks without fear of the neighbors complaining. And an old barn that allegedly was used for wedding photos. But all the buildings needed serious work, more money and effort than I could afford.

My sister is going up the Stowe this weekend for a wedding at the Trapp Lodge.
That place is really cool.
When I was up there, in the summer I was working for a masonry restoration company. I helped work on some garden walls there. I had such a great time in $towe that summer. Mr Pickwick's and the Matterhorn were our hangouts.
