What should happen to Toggenburg? Judge to decide its future in illegal monopoly case
The judge has ruled the buyer, who owns two other ski areas, broke anti-monopoly laws when he closed the Fabius ski slope.www.syracuse.com
Tski and Camp those are in your backyard.
So is there enough market traffic to support all 3 ? My gut says no
OTOH, GP got noticibly more crowded when Togg closed. I spoke with some people who migrated. They really missed the family vibe that Togg had, and the terrain park. Since then, however, GP has ramped up its features, so that's probably not so much of an issue.I'd say no. Quite honestly what made Tog work was the Foggy Goggle. With the current winter weather as of late I also think that's why Hickey originally sold it. The writing was on the wall, IMO. I can't see the need $$$ invested into snowmaking upgrades that were/are needed ever paying off.
It's too bad, it was a fun place with a great vibe and killer food/bar.
My best guess:Tski and Camp those are in your backyard.
