Market Philosophy

My wife, who never really thinks about the market, asked me last night, if we should try to buy some more stock right now (beyond what we are DCA'ing). AKA "Buy the dip."

That would be doing what ol' Warren is recommending ^^ above, but I just can't bring myself to do it. That emergency fund helps me sleep.
The time will come for buying back in & getting rich.

Now is not the time.

(But I might start dipping a toe after today’s bloodbath)

This is turning out not to be about tariffs but about screwing anybody who wants to do business with the US. I wonder why?

Trump's approach is distributive negotiation, where one party is a clear winner over the other. He needs to be the dominant a-hole. This is way different than transactional negotiation, where everyone leaves the table feeling like a winner. I read an article about this, but I can't find it to cite it. No bueno for international relations.

Yeah like that strategy works so well for Trumpledumbo : 40 failed businesses,6 bankruptcies. 🤣

No wonder one of his Wharton profs called him "the stupidest SOB I ever had in class"
No wonder Mike Bloomberg said he was a joke among Manhattan's financiers they still laugh at him.

No wonder Buffett went heavily into Cash several weeks before this tariff nonsense became public information.

Hell even Bill Ackerman in the last 2 days has gotten on Trump's ass for this debacle

Elect a clown expect a circus

Very well put
This guy bankrupt a casino think about that for a second a casino

what also has me a little bit perplexed is that the CEO of Walmart and other giant retailers haven’t said anything yet I would bet 75% of all the goods sold in Walmart are from China and the other 20% from other countries in Asia. You would think he would be on the phone to him. The second all the stuff went down. I find this very confusing. Also, why hasn’t Tim Cook opened his mouth 99% of apples products are from China or Taiwan
One more thing correct me if I’m wrong isn’t Walmart the largest employer in this country theoretically they should have him by the balls.
Hmmmm
