Gore Mountain Conditions

Gore took a big hit! 🤕
I saw a patroller shoveling snow onto wood in this morning. Sunway is a mess by the saddle and wild air. The rest is still ok.

The precip was mostly snow and sleet higher up.

Dang.
Just beam me up Burnt Ridge.
I’ll down load if they let me or run the pipeline if it has snow.
Are the flats all toasted?

i will be skiing Wednesday. look for cat in a pink Hawaiian shirt. see you up top

Cork wasn’t kidding. Still lots of good coverage up top. Just a few more things poking through. Nice day. Clouds rolled in around noon. Personally would have loved to see it bake another hour. But that’s me.

We had a really nice day at Gore today. It had much more of an early April feel than I'd like this early in the spring. Of course with sun and 60-degree temps the snow was heavy especially by afternoon. Everything in Straight Brook was skiing nicely, as were Hullaballo and Lower Darby. Hullalballo (which we did early only) and Hawkeye (which we did a few times) were my runs of the day. With racing on Echo, we didn't go over to Burnt Ridge, and never felt the urge to go down to the North Chair either. I hope this wasn't my only Gore day of the season. We'll see how the snow holds up and if I can arrange to slip away from work for another weekday before things wrap up.

What is the run out to the bottom like? I skied the NY owned place to the north and was worried about the skis I had today but no issues getting down. I have to admit they have more snow (but less variety) I am between skis for tomorrow morning at Gore

I only skied quick silver and twister at the bottom today. Twister is pretty thin in spots. Quick silver had good coverage. Sunway at the top is thin but manageable. There is a lot of snow at the summit.

My experience was similar, just Quicksilver and Twister on my runs to the base. I had no concerns about finding paths with decent cover. When we finished up just before 3, there was a bit of a pond skim feel by the ski racks.
