Yo. Plattekill this February?

So we are talking about doing a trip out east to visit family this winter and if the conditions are good enough my daughter and I will get to go ski at Plattekill for a day.

I'd love to meet up with some of y'all on here if you're around.

Maybe you could try to do this on a Friday.

One thing about tree skiing here in CNY is we don't need a bunch of snow to get them open.

Ooof. I went full charge into some deadfall in Big Sky once. I was by myself, double ejecto flying somersault action. Never saw it coming.

We understand if you wuss out. There’s always a nice groomer to the bar.

But uninjured? Lucky then.

I swear I have ptsd from some of my injuries and scary ski experiences.

My grandmothers daughter, my aunt just passed. We really need to visit her.

I'll be following this thread. I'll do my best to lace em up and make a few turns with the Platty crew. I think that and a few beers with all these wackos on here is long overdue.

I can't speak for Platty as I've never been there. Here at GP, if one stays between the hash marks, there's really no danger with 15".

If it's really popping out there we might have to get up to MRG for a day as well. Platt and MRG were my two favorite ski hills during my teens.

Just realized your trip is in February. I can't make it. We rent a house in forestport for the month to ride sleds.
