In the closing “ceremony" when they played Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, for some reason my mind had a flashback to Kubrik’s A Clockwork Orange. It seemed to make more sense when seen thru that lens.

It won’t take much for the shitshow to improve.
Events in Tirol events should be fine.
Food’ll be better.
There used to be unannounced strikes a lot in the cities so shows in Milan and the other cities could be tricky.
The IOC most likely should know who to pay off so it might just be fine.

I already read articles critisizing the fact that is a 5 hr distance between the men's and women's skiing venues so that will cause some distress as housing will be on site not centralized for at least those sports . Hoo boy salt peter ,WILL be in the diet

all that seemed to be on tv was curling, snowboarding and people on skis doing aerials. one night of that is fine, but night after night. where are the classics? ski jumping, bobsled, speed skating, moguls? what a bore these games were.

Only if it was beer laps and the winner was the last man standing.

There’s definitely beer in the Dolomites along with cider, wine and grappa.
Pace yerself, ya could be a contender.

Other than bobsled, luge, and skeleton I didn't watch a second of the Olympics this time around. I only watched those events because I never get to see them any other time.

I'm glad I missed most of it especially the Russian gold medal performance for child abuse. Really disgusting!

Watching some curling wondering why shuffleboard isn’t in the Summer Games.

Looking forward to Skimo in Milano Cortina 2026.
