Winter Weather 23/24

The Snow Ridge said they got 8” and McCauley said they got 7”.
The big LE band is still pumping so it’s most likely higher by now.
Lab-Song report 3-4” new ❄️.
There’s little bands on radar now around CNY too but not very wide.
Sometimes they aren’t even picked up on triple doppler radar.
Where the little bands blow is harder to predict.
this time, it did not disappoint. Been snowing up here since 6pm y’day. I drove up to Big Moose Lake last night and I’d say 90% of the drive was total whiteout conditions

Bolton claims 12 inches. But I think that is over several days. Snowed until 6 pm 2/16/24

Wow, the end of February and early March is looking very warm and wet.
Starting about when?

Nice band catching Snow Ridge and McCauley. Maybe Woods. Titus getting some love too.

It snowed the last three days at Gore. Beyond Thursday night it didn't add up to too much, but it was like an old time winter when there was always snow in the air. Loved it.

A lot of the most recent ❄️ was enhanced or directly caused by the cold wind blowing over open water in the Great Lakes.
This site show ice coverage (lack thereof) for the goat lakes vs historical averages.
If we get some more “westerly" cold wind we’ll get more lake effect ❄️. Erie is about devoid of ice & a lot of years it locks up by now.

I don't see any prolonged warm ups. lots of ups and downs and boring weather...
maybe some light rain this friday followed by a moderate cold front..

That precip is currently showing a chance for frozen? He hoped.
