A bit more like it at 9:30.

For folks who like to ski Alta or those who have it on the bucket list, check out the detailed article about the snow in October 2022 through mid-January 2023. The base depth is almost 150 inches as of Jan. 20 and total snowfall is over 400 inches already.

Needless to say, neighboring Snowbird has comparable snow depths. As do Solitude and Brighton in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Alta and Snowbird are on Mountain Collective separately. All four LCC/BCC resorts are on Full Ikon for 7 days. Solitude (owned by Alterra) is unlimited access for any Ikon pass. Snowbird includes 5/7 days for Ikon Base/Base+.

imo it would be better to go Sundance or even Brian Head and avoid the Zoocayons...

Why must you taunt us with this, especially when I already have to see all the Instagram pictures of my friends who moved to Alta?

At least start a different thread with the title: Alta has snow. You really snuck it in this weather thread. Oh wow, it snowed a lot in Alta this year? Who knew? Certainly not a forum full of skiers.

Alta has always had fantastic snow, but don't think it will be immune from some changes the Great Salt Lake is drying up, somewhat from climate change but mostly because of overdevelopment without taking water resources into consideration check this out https://www.theskidiva.com/forums/i...ng-up-heres-what-that-means-for-skiers.26844/ I only hope they recognize this quickly, Salt Lake City officials know but the statehouse is controlled by some pretty conservative dudes who seem immune to environmental warnings, that said they are pure capitalists and maybe with the ski recreation industry threatened they will take action,
