Winter Weather 20/21

Greatest ny metro area storm in 37yrs for some maybe 100yrs.

What's the early word on Sunday/Monday? I heard reference to the Blizzard of 1993.
1993 was a insane storm that dropped a foot on Atlanta before it came north
As of now the low goes way south
Time will telll
In the short term there will be a couple of small events

GFS does a bit with it, but not much;

A good chunk of the stuff in the Adirondacks is LE.

Canadian also seems to be mostly LE;

Still pretty far out though, my general rule of thumb when looking at hurricanes is that model runs past 120 hours are mostly crap, and winter storms are probably more unpredictable than hurricanes.

We got most of the snow later in the day yesterday and till afternoon today. It’s a few inches over the knees. All powder.

NWS ALY:

LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...

Tuesday into Wednesday...A complex storm system may bring some snow
back into the region. Initially a northern stream disturbance may
bring a chance of snow in during the day, and the question is
whether a secondary low forms near the NJ or southern New
England Coast. The medium range and Ensemble guidance continues
to vary with much uncertainty at this time. A cold front moves
through late Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to run below
normal as we head into mid Feb.

Lab and Song are both reporting 32 inches plus since Tuesday. I’m gonna find out if it’s fake news. They also made some fake snow when it was cold before the hard stuff came down.
