Windham Mountain Going Private?

Many many months ago I found a good deal on a direct flight to Vail for late January. It's supposed to be our family's first ski trip out west. I'm getting increasingly nervous...
One of our fishing mottos that can apply to skiing:
Don’t leave fish to go to fish, ie Don’t leave good skiing to go to good skiing.

I hope the western bumps get some snow as it’ll help skiing and they can use the H2O. (May also help places in the east from getting too crowded at peak times)

My extremely non scientific observation is, when the east gets hammered with snow, the west gets bupkis. And vice versa. We're living kinda large in the east at present.
Yep very rarely do both the east and west do well.

$225 for a day of skiing and chicken tenders with fries are $29.50, what the… ?

While I do enjoy the in depth reviews of Peak Rankings, I think that guy skis with no poles. Windham ranked #3 in NY is not happening. Ask anyone who regularly skis in the Catskills and they will tell you Windham ranks last out of the four.

The ranking chart is an embarrassment.
Objectively using Gore only-
1. Gore's size (at 3 points on the chart) is almost 1/3 more acreage of any other ski area in NYS and 900 more vert than every other ski area except WF - how is it ranked the same as 5 other NYS areas including Greek Peak ( :ROFLMAO:) ?
2. In the lift category, how is Gore (6 points) ranked well below Windham (9?), and below Hunter (7?), Belleayre (7?)
3. Whiteface getting a 7 for terrain diversity when it lacks blue and green terrain when compared to Gore (5) is another missed score.
4. Peek and Peak is a 400vert foot local bump with a claimed 130 acres (sure). It is ranked higher than Gore for resiliency 6 to 5, crowd flow 8 to 7, navigation 6 to 5, and ranked the same as Gore in snow and facilities (what?). Gore has a 3 for size and Peek and Peak has a 2 for size.

How is Peek and Peak ranked higher or the same as Gore for ANYTHING?
There are other insane comparisons besides those mentioned.
What a joke.

Snow score tied at 3. Belleayre receives and holds more natural snow than the others, Windham is not even close.

Resiliency score tied at 5. Belle is the most resilient in the state right now and probably second in the entire East behind Killington. It’s not just their upgraded firepower but their willingness to use it. Almost the entire mountain is open and it’s only the second week of December. Again, Windham is not even remotely close.
