Windham Mountain Going Private?

$225 for a day of skiing and chicken tenders with fries are $29.50, what the… ?

While I do enjoy the in depth reviews of Peak Rankings, I think that guy skis with no poles. Windham ranked #3 in NY is not happening. Ask anyone who regularly skis in the Catskills and they will tell you Windham ranks last out of the four.

Welp Windham made it to a popular YouTube channel and not in a good way. Declared "Worst overall value than most people will ever visit."

Well done private equity.
Some “elites" just like to hang out with each other so the they don’t have to hang out with peons & plebes while judging each others fancy stuff and putting on airs.
I prefer skiing with dirtbags and hanging out with hound dogs.

PR did Huntah recently to boot.
Must be low tide out west and hence those folks want info so they can Epic & Icon the nicer conditions 25-26 is starting with on the east coast. Maybe the east coasters. will think twice about booking in the west this year unless the weather pattern changes.

Boarders 🏂 don’t use no dang poles.

I've gotten a lot of utility out of that site, but the system of assigning equal weight to 10 different categories is going to produce occasional odd outcomes. And in this case, some of the individual ratings just seem off. Windham and Belleayre do not have the same snow/resiliency. Windham is not the same size as Gore. (I thought their Gore review in general was kind of uncharitable.) They're definitely right about the pricing at Windham, though.

Many many months ago I found a good deal on a direct flight to Vail for late January. It's supposed to be our family's first ski trip out west. I'm getting increasingly nervous...

My extremely non scientific observation is, when the east gets hammered with snow, the west gets bupkis. And vice versa. We're living kinda large in the east at present.
