Who's on the DL?

Harv, remember to take it easy and enjoy the scene, the experience of skiing. Don't trade your longevity in this pastime for a statistic. (100 days) In the end you won't be saying "wow I should have gotten more days", you'll be thinking about the best days and what they meant.
Embrace the ambience of everything at the mountain. You ever stop for a minute and just listen to the silence in the glades at Gore during or after a huge snowstorm? Ski for that my guy.

So well said
I can’t tell you how many times I stop while Mtb just to enjoy the quiet Forrest

Thanks Wonderpony. I've been pretty chill, we're majoring in quiet forest around here.

I'd bet some of you would have stayed home today, and the rest would have skied the fall line t2b, in the same situation.

Be careful!
The X factor is the traffic. The slower you go the more close encounters you have, coming up from behind.

With this goal, there is going to be some tail wagging the dog.

Weekdays will be my friend, while I am nursing this sore back.

I’m sorry you’re hurting Harvey.

Take it easy.
Drink lots of water.
Rub in some T-Relief Arnica +12.
Find yourself a hot tub.
Eat a gummy.
What ADK Johnny said.

This is true but one thing you can do is make them a lot worse, which is why it’s good to know for sure what you’re dealing with
Legit point. After a ski accident injury (ribs/spinal) the year before my mtb crash I went to work and lead a rock work project that left me waking up at night moaning in pain. I had to leave the project early.

I couldn't agree more. Personal stat goals are kind of silly in the grand scheme of things. I don't pay attention to numbers anymore but it wasn't ever really a thing for me.

Got a foot thing going on too. I can ski (parallel) fine, but tele and nordic hurt my right foot. I always thought "if I get to old to ride the lift, there's always nordic" — which honestly I love more. It's a quiet forest thing.

Haven't really gotten new doc in NY yet, but I made contact with the Hudson Headwaters Health Network today. Seeing a foot doc Friday. Hoping it's an injury and not the end of the line (arthritis).

Fingers crossed.

On the upside, back is feeling much better.

I got my new derotation brace today, and between that and a lot of PT over the last 2 months, I am feeling pretty good about getting back out there when Royal opens on Sunday. I guess I'll call it ACL #6. #1 and #2 were original equipment, #3 was my first derotation brace that I used before and in recovery from my first ACL surgery, which provided #4. Second ACL surgery provided #5, and this is #6, replacing #4.

This is gonna sound odd. But I feel like i've developed this thing where as long as I can use whatever hurts normally without favoring it.I use it gently and it helps it get better.

Is that nuts?
