Dang! I don't think I should drive all the way up. But maybe the slides will stay open a few weeks and I can convince a family member to come.

Looks like the pitch of Lies. I am sure there are lots of hidden obstacles etc of course because it is essentially side country.

It's steeper than Lies. At least it feels that way. It leaves you without breath in a way that Rumor or Lies doesn't.

Yeah, overall the Slides are different, and take more out of you. However, that pic is top of Slide 1, right? That’s not very steep. On 1 as you get to the ice falls there’s more pitch. However, other than pitch-y, technical sections I don’t think the Slides in general are very steep, until you get out to 4.
Very jealous though, almost wish I was headed to Placid and not North Creek tonight, but I can only ski Saturday anyway. I may try and plan for WF next weekend and hope for continued Slides action.
