Catamount is about an hour closer to our place in the Adk. I'd do it on the way, or maybe from there.

Thunder Ridge is my last day trip from NJ.

I think Paul Smiths VIC is done for the year. Craftsbury cancelled this weekend's races because no snow.

That leaves the Ho.

Very windy after a shy inch of snow overnight....awaiting final mountain report from Cat regarding lifts, hopefully they will not cancel today but wow is it windy!

Look for me I will be there at noon if they spin....

Caberfae peaks on Sunday for their final day. It's too bad that people just don't show up once mid March comes. They still have plenty of snow left.

Virginia got toasted. Massanutten planned to be open March 16, then March 21-23. Had to close last Sunday due the high winds with the storm and to much washed away. So March 15 was the last day. Wintergreen also shut down after March 15 but they had March 16 as closing day.

There is fresh snow in WV! Timberline and Snowshoe open until March 23. Snowshoe day tickets dropped to $50.

Yeah, I went to Brewster HS, so I grew up skiing there. Ski Club, Ski Team. I was a crappy B Team racer, although I think my good old Head Comp SL took me to one top ten A finish! Wonder how much they’ll still have open at the point.

May not be worth the trouble….but you can actually use Metro North to get to Thunder Ridge from NYC.

Folks’ll wait in lines for a couple WRODs in the early season chomping at the bit when the days are darker.
Corn season is great fun.
