Turning Right and Turning Left

Oh my god. I don’t snowboard but I’ve been skiing at Mountain Creek (shudder) a lot this year. The number of snowboarders there that will turn towards their ass- side without looking over their shoulder is alarming.
I have always wanted a sideview mirror for my ass-side for this very reason.

I have seen people riding bikes with a little mini-mirror hanging off their helmet. Probably doesn’t jive with the board culture. Would sideview mirrors be helpful to tele dudes? The guys I see wearing them on bikes look more telemark then snowboard, if you know what I mean.

No, no I don't know what you mean.

Anyone who rides with a camera on their head should have no shame about a clip on mirror.

You only look over your shoulder when merging onto another trail otherwise it’s the responsibility of those skiing up behind you to yield. Whoever mentioned Mirrors???? Come on man

True but it still hurts if someone whales into you.

you’re not saying you should turn into a space you haven’t looked at are you? There could be somebody skiing next to you, in the process of passing you, being passed by you. You should always look where you’re going, whether on a board or skis or on wheelies at the mall.
As far as the mirrors, if you scroll back you will see who mentioned it. It was sarcasm, though, so I’m not sure it matters who brought it up.

This is a little drifty, but I am starting to focus exclusively on flexing my knees and ankles, especially in the trees.

@riverc0il taught me "Uncle Tony Knows"

Toe
Knee
Nose

Keeping vertical alignment.

What has changed for me is that all of a sudden this year I am much more down the fall line. Or more accurately I am down the fall line in a much wider variety of conditions. (Basically steeper and tighter.)

Because my NOSE is now more generally in the right spot, I feel like I can concentrate on my ankles and knees.

I'm sure Coach Z or @MC2 could still point out many issues with my form, but it does really feel like progress to me.

That seems like the long way around the barn for, point your pecker down the hill.

Come on man is a joke. Now back to turning. Are we talking curse ship turns or ripping down the hill? Either way it’s up to you to avoid people in front of you, same goes for those behind you, as it those behind you. You need to adjust speed and anticipate any poor movements by those in front of you. If done correctly you will be pass them in a second on on with your grove.
