Turning Right and Turning Left

Just another digital game or helpful device?
Game. Can be helpful but not for long is what I've heard from Ski Divas who have used it.

I've found working with really experienced PSIA instructors (20+ years) who are Level 3 or Examiners to be quite effective over a period of years. I didn't start having the time or interest to ski off-piste until after age 55. By then it was obvious when we did spring break trips to Alta that my tween daughter was clearly better. I started with lessons at Massanutten, which has several L3 instructors plus an Examiner.

As for fixing the weak turn, going left in my case, it took a few lessons with the Mnut Examiner to learn what needed to be different. That was after I'd been taking 5-8 lessons a season for a few years. Had to do with hip movement more than anything else. Once I could feel what doing it correctly felt like, then it was possible to practice and self-evaluate and start ingraining a new movement pattern. Two a couple seasons to get to the point of doing it right 80% of the time. Still a work in progress, especially on steeper terrain. Meaning like terrain off the Wildcat lift at Alta.

Had to do with hip movement more than anything else.
The last few seasons I've had issue pressuring my uphill ski on a left turn, I can't seem to get the rotation out of my left hip to angulate the ski to set the edge. I assume its early sign of OA and will need to be replaced at some point like the right one. Right now it doesn't bother me enough to look into some boot mods or wedges other than adjusting the canting, but at some point it probably will. I'm anxious to see how it is this season, been working on some rotational stretches/yoga.
