Generally what is the range of suspension travel across different models? And what's the downside if any of having a lot of it

A lot of travel can get you hung up when pedaling slowly through chunky stuff. Those slow motion over the bar falls when your fork sags to a stop behind a big rock are real pissers man.

Is the plastic bugs bunny maybe a secret code for something? Like the folks that display a pineapple outside their door. Did you notice anything else unusual in the area when bugs was present?

That’s what I heard too. I though maybe bugs indicated something else- like there’s something for sale back in the woods or something

My inlaws have a pineapple sign on their porch.. It's a welcome symbol... at least i hope it is

what AZ say's is the truth...Speed is your friend..
Long travel bikes tend not to go up hill as well, They are little bit heavy and some older models might suffer from peddle bob..modern higher end bikes have mitigated most of this.. With longer travel , the bike stays more planted on the higher speed chunky downhills...All that said, this is what I like, it's personal preference..
No matter what you have , just get out and ride..it's all good..one more thing....IMO the most important component on my bike is the Dropper Post...This is a game changer..

I think just a straight up pineapple is a sign of welcome. When it’s upside down is when things get naughty.

Question about right-of-way or rules or the road or whatever.

I am kind of surprised that this never happened before. Yesterday while riding the single track part of my ride I came to what I guess you could call a "blind corner" and had a collision with a young kid coming the other direction. I was scared but not hurt, he was unhurt too. Somehow my front wheel remained round too, not sure how that is even possible.

He assumed it was his fault, but I don't think so. He was going way faster than me and it was more him crashing into me than mutual but I still don't see that as making it his fault

Is there some kind rule or method to help prevent this? I can't imagine having a bell on my handlebars and ringing it when I came to a blind spot.
