Titus Conditions

When I went to school in Potsdam we skied Thursday’s senior year winter semester (they called it spring semester for no reason) at Big Tupper instead of Titus.
Maybe because the driver grew up in Canton as it was bit closer from there and he knew it better.
Looks to be a great place to ski, especially this year.

Back in the day we also preferred Tupper to Titus. The significant difference between the mountains is that there is more continuous vertical at Tupper than Titus.
Both are a great day of skiing and the breath and variety at Titus is certainly greater than Tuppers.

Both had a retro vibe , Hall lifts and lots of North country Carhartt

Family fun FTW.
I remember there were cliffs and big boulders at Big Tuppah.
Yeah and the funky lil connector trail from top of main chair to the 3rd chair that ran between the cliff was always peppered with pea gravel n shit to raise hell with yer bottoms and yer ass if'n ya were "railin' thru that section

Just a quick note before we head to the Fish and Game Club for the day. One more inch overnight, and snowing hard now. Fully open and skiing great, if you have wanted to ski Titus, not is the time.

Nobody here yet.

I think there are 4 skiers.

Cord with new snow on top so nice.

The trees are definitely in. No sign of crust.

At Titus, Vail doesn't hassle me about where I put my bag.

Skiing was great yesterday! Sorry we missed you....we are touring today. Titus is just skiing great right now.

We had a great day touring at the Fish and Game Club trails, they are perfect for XCD type gear. It snowed in the afternoon, and there is more coming tonight. I had a friend visiting from Vermont where they got rain....We are The Snow Capitol of the East right now. Chair 1 opens tomorrow after being closed today, it was great on sunday and should be really good tomorrow. Big freeze coming, which is fine by me.

Today was the best day at Titus for the last two seasons, and that is with Chairs 1,3 and 4 open, Everything is amazing. We got 6+ inches of blower overnight. The groomers were perfect, really soft snow, and the ungroomed stuff was magical. Promise and Devil's Delight were amazing. We found wide swaths of untracked at 1:30 on the sides of the Ridge Park as everyone went down the middle for the jumps, which look pretty good if you like that thing. Tomorrow 6 opens, and we are thinking of breaking out the AT gear for Thursday before the freezer comes. Skiing is just great here at The Snow Capitol of the East.
