The Whole SKI3 Frequent Skier Card Thing

It basically functions as a bulk ticket purchase that's transferable. The downside is you have to commit to a certain number of days, and because it's fixed price, they aren't as valuable early or late season when the window rate is lower. Also, they don't sell them after October 20th. There is one exception, their top tier pass, the Beast 365, comes with 12 50% off vouchers, which can be transferred in the same manner.

Ahh, there not secured dates.
No blackouts good anytime.

This to me is an added benefit. If I want to go early or late in the season when rates are typically lower, I have the option of saving these for full price days. Its one way to ski more without fully committing to a fixed number of days upfront.
Killington is a bit far for me so this year is kind of a test run to see how it works out. If it does then next year I might go with the midweek pass.

ORDA dropped the 6th free day last year, but they allowed the "free" day to be saved for a holiday. The old first and 6th plan might come up on low price days, so the new plan was actually better for us. This year's plan is only about $10 more if you're over 65, and actually cheaper if you're over 70.

For us the mot important thing was that tickets never sold out. That meant we could ski with family on holidays, but the card was still cut from the budget at the last minute this year.

I am a big fan of the card. 50% off mid week powder days makes the numbers work better. Car to lift is the only way to travel. My biggest gripe with Gore in the past was waiting outside in the cold for 20 minutes to buy a lift ticket. I hate buying tickets in advance, total crap shoot in NE. The weather can change overnight, especially when the dreaded sleet line comes into play.

One of the things I like about Gore is that I don't very often feel the need to make the first chair. Three laps on Foxlair before the upper mountain opens doesn't do much for me. It's better to sleep in.YMMV

My mileage does vary.

Six of my 14 Gore days were new snow or powder this past season. Plenty of fun/untracked to be had before the top opens.

And I drove 250 miles to ski. When I'm full time local and get 100 days

Sad for you
No sadness from me, I had a great season. Not too many days (27), but my most powder days ever. Some excellent corn days too.

No regrets for how I've spent my life to date. It's all made my move north possible.

Surely looking forward to the future, which will likely include Gore, McCauley, Snow Ridge, Titus, Plattekill, WF, CNY, Jay, Smuggs, Bush and Killington.

ETA: thanks for bringing this thread back, reminded my to by my daughter's FSC, just did it. $46.
