The Masters leaderboard on Saturday morning is a nice one.

Woulda liked to Langer & Freddie make the cut.

Talked to Bernhard once on a rainy practice round for The US open one time at Oak Hill.
He was holding the umbrella for his caddy while he waited to tee off..
I said,” Berhard, I thought the caddy was supposed to hold the umbrella."
He turned & replied with a smile, “Age before beauty."

#16 stands at Augusta is was a great place to watch the golfers and caddies come thru and try their hand at skipping shots off the pond onto the green.Ya could also watch them practice chipping and putting around the 15th green as well as hit normal tee shots onto 16.

Yesterday was the first time this year I hit a shot over a pond without first hitting an unplanned skipper into the pond.

In Statesvile NC they had plastic coyotes on the bank in front of the greens to deter the geese from pooping on the 2 par 3s with ponds . Got up and down for bogey once. Dunked a skipper into the pond the first time out at home. Ditches haven’t bothered me as I’ve birdied the nearby hole with a ditch both times I’ve played it.

My irons are playing decent but my current mish-mash assortment of hybrids/woods could be upgraded to a matched set.

Finally got out hurting elbow and all.Course was very wet ,lots of cart restricted areas . Shots were strictly plop n stop, no roll as per usual spring conditions

Shot a meh 44 couple of pars mostly bogies n one darn double . Putting was pretty good , Driving was as you might expect all ya got was carry ,no roll .

Was disappointed with iron play gotta really put some effort in to dial in distances with the new irons ...it'll take time
All in all a good time ,glad the elbow didn't act up been doing exercises on it 3 times a day for 3 weeks and bought a brace which helped.

Weather was sunny,hi 60's tomorrow it turns cold n rainy for a while besides I have a chemo session tomorrow am

Keep swinging Warp.

Tusky is most beautiful when the leaves 1st come out and when they turn colors in the fall. Had a decent round going till I made a 10 on 16. Only 90 yards away in 2 on the backside par 5. Missed clearing the dang deep sandtrap by a foot. Hit it good right at the flag. It’s hard from me to grind it out for a snowman 8.

Your course looks pretty darn good compared to mine yesterday. 5 holes were messed up with standing water. Greens were in great shape tho .

It dries out pretty fast being on top of the limestone ledge. The little creek that runs thru it actually disappears down a hole in the middle of the course.

It plays a lot different depending on the degree of soil hydration.
Not much bounce yesterday and I need all the roll I can get.

The greenskeeper and his crew are great.
