One major weakness.

On some hills the max uphill capacity is rare to hit. McCauley comes to mind. I've been there 5 times. Each time, some weekday, and some on the weekend, only the double ran. I've experienced 1500 uphill not 3100, each time, and the mountain was open 100%. When Gore is fully open, it's either all lifts (weekend) or maybe 80% of lifts weekday.

I think the system is "more accurate" or representative of... something... for bigger mountains, with larger denominators.

Looks like there is an opportunity for someone to develop an app like waze for lift lines. Maybe call it linze?

Am I really supposed to care about all this hogwash? Just go skiing on a powder day. I don’t need a calculator the night before to decide where to go. Just get into the truck and fucking go.

Raise your hand if you think I am looking at official lift numbers before driving to McCauley.

I learned that the directory, updated a few years ago, was way out of date for uphill, and mostly officially the same or close for acreage.

You don't need to care about it, I was interested, based on Marz list. I did the math and put it somewhere where I can find it.

There are apps that provide lift line waits for many of the destination resorts out west. Pretty sure EpicMix has it. I think the JH app has it, but my last trip was in Dec so it didn't matter. Plus my old iPhone's battery was dying so I wasn't using any extra apps on the mountain.

The Alterra resorts seemed to have separate apps, even though Ikon has an app too.
